About the Gazette

Every business has a story about The Customer. The one who cancelled twice and disputed the invoice anyway. The one who screamed at your apprentice over a five-minute delay. The one who left a one-star review because you wouldn't work for free.

TripAdvisor lets customers rate businesses. Nobody built the other side of that ledger. So we did.

What This Is

Prick Advisor is where businesses and tradespeople put difficult customer behaviour on the record — properly, not just as a rant down the pub. Late cancellations, abuse toward staff, chronic non-payment, unreasonable demands, and everything in between. If it happened to you in a business context and it's true, there's a docket for it here.

What This Isn't

This isn't a place to name names, dig up addresses, or turn a bad afternoon into a witch hunt. Customers are never identified — not by name, not by precise location, not by anything that would let someone pick them out of a crowd. That's not a technicality, it's the whole design. See our Community Guidelines for the detail.

Businesses, on the other hand, can stand behind their account under their own name if they choose to — because vouching for what you've written is part of what makes it worth reading.

Why It Matters

Every tradesperson, shop owner, and freelancer has absorbed the cost of a bad customer in silence, because there was nowhere to put it that wasn't a rant on a forum or a vague subtweet. A written record — reviewed before it goes live, removable if it's wrong, protected against identifying anyone — turns that silence into something useful. Patterns of bad behaviour become visible. Businesses stop feeling like they're the only ones dealing with it.

How We Keep It Honest

Every post is reviewed before publication. We don't edit posts — if something needs to change, it comes down and gets resubmitted, not quietly rewritten. Reports from multiple independent users pull a post from public view automatically pending review. None of this makes Prick Advisor a court of law — it makes it a record, kept as straight as we can keep it.

Who's Behind This

Prick Advisor is a small, independent build — not backed by a chain of investors with opinions about tone. If you've got feedback, a complaint, or a story about someone who deserves a docket entry of their own, the Contact page is the way in.
